Trained at The University of Chicago (MBA and PhD), Prof O learned the importance of an analytical mindset and the skill to make academic rigor accessible and actionable. He won the American Accounting Association International Section Dissertation of the Year Award. While earning his PhD, Prof O honed his teaching craft at UNext.com, a startup building online MBA courses with Stanford University, Columbia University, Carnegie-Mellon University, London School of Economics, and The University of Chicago.
He has taught at universities such as Northwestern Kellogg, Chicago Booth, INSEAD, Boston University, Singapore Management University, Purdue University, and Arizona State University. He has published in top-tier academic accounting journals and presented at top-tier academic conferences worldwide.
His ongoing interests from his time at The University of Chicago include studying metacognition research and instructional design (applied to online education). He is currently studying microlearning strategies.
